Why is it said that under 12 months, it's not possible for babies to get chicken pox. How can I separate my kids from each other?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Do you mean to say that children under the age of 12 months cannot receive the chicken pox (varicella) vaccine?

Dr. Dina Helou Pediatrics
Up to 3 months of age, babies are protected by the mother's antibodies if the mother is immunized against varicella and the vaccine is not immunogenic before the age of 12months. So this is why babies between 3 and 12months are at risk of varicella if exposed.
