constipation associated with thyroid problems are treated as we treat constipation in general plus treatment of the underlying thyroid disease. the general treatment of constipation is drinking a lot of water (especially during summer season), eating fiber like fruits, and vegetables, having a well timed, organised meals with constant time intervals between it. try to avoid or minimize Red meat, cookies, Dairy products, Fast Food, and caffeine. some chronic medications can also cause constipation. if you can stop it, do it after consulting your physician if you can not, live with it, and follow the above steps.
