I read somewhere that metal Dental Filling for Cavities (the old filling method with metal) might be the cause for fibromyalgia. Is this true?

Hello,
I honestly do not believe in that. Millions have metal fillings and all are doing great. I wouldn't touch them if I were you.

Hi,
The Metal Dental Filling called amalgam has been pointed as a cause of fibromyalgia and 10 years before as a major cause of multiple sclerosis. It was thought that the mercury inside the filling is the cause.
Research shows that the mercury concentration in a mouth full of metal filling is not more than the concentration of mercury in a meal of fish that usually contains mercury.
So no harm in keeping them, it was a way to boost the market in changing metal filling to white filling and now there is rumors that we should change white filling to another specific white filling.
