nasal congestion (congested nose occurs when the tissues lining it become swollen. The swelling is due to inflamed blood vessels.) can be due to many reasons .if it has been for long time then the problem is chronic and you may have :
-a sinus infection -chronic sinusitis
-or allergy such as hay fever ,rhinitis ,...
-or nasal polyp
-some nasal sprays if used for more than 3 days may opposite its action and cause a congested nose
For treatment you have to know the diagnose and to know the diagnose ,you must be checked by a ENT doctor to make a physical exam beside an X ray for the sinus ,blood test and allergy test if needed .
