I do not smoke! Can I use an e-cigarette just for fun? To see how smoking feels? Are they safe? Are the liquids that state free nicotine really free of nicotine? Any bad effects? Do I get addicted?
Aug 6, 2014

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
electronic nicotine delivery system or e-cigarette is a battery-powered vaporizer which simulates tobacco smoking by producing an aerosol
Yes ,they carry a risk of addiction in those who do not already smoke,[8] and may promote continuation of addiction in those who already smoke.
The main ingredients of e-liquids are usually a mix of propylene glycol , vegetable glycerin , and/or polyethylene glycol 400 ), sometimes with differing levels of alcohol mixed with concentrated or extracted flavorings, and optionally, a variable concentration of tobacco-derived nicotine. There is variability in the purity, kinds and concentrations of chemicals used in liquids, and significant variability between labeled content and concentration and actual content and concentration
Pre-made e-liquids are manufactured with various tobacco, fruit, and other flavors, as well as variable nicotine concentrations (including nicotine-free versions). The standard notation "mg/ml" is often used in labeling for denoting nicotine concentration, and is sometimes shortened to a simple "mg"
The risks of electronic cigarette use are uncertain. This is due to there being little data regarding their health effects and to the variability of vaporizers and variability in liquid ingredients and in their concentration and quality, and thus variability of the contents of aerosol delivered to the user
SO my advice not to use ,be aware of smoking ,any smoker starts in playing and just for fun try and end up a heavy smoker .
PLEASE PLEASE do not smoke either really nor for fun ,it a major health risk not only for your sake but for others sake you harm yourself and the one you love ,don't even try this will guide you to the next step to cigarette ,you are now lucky having pure clean lungs a body and arteries full of energy ,don't waste these because of a bad habit that may ruin you health and other health .

The latest report from the food and drug administration (FDA) states that because "e-cigarettes have not been fully studied, so consumers currently don’t know:
-the potential risks of e-cigarettes when used as intended,
-how much nicotine or other potentially harmful chemicals are being inhaled during use, or
-whether there are any benefits associated with using these products."
Additionally, the potential for e-cigarettes in leading young people to try other tobacco products, including conventional cigarettes, remains undetermined.
Reports of adverse events from e-cigarettes, coming from individuals, public health officials and health care professionals exist; they include: hospitalization for illnesses such as
pneumonia,
congestive heart failure,
disorientation,
seizure,
hypotension,
other health problems.
Whether e-cigarettes is the culprit in these reported adverse events is unknown. Some of the adverse events could be caused by underlying medical condition or to other causes that were not declared to FDA.

The e-cigarette contains only nicotine liquid without the 4000 - 7000 toxic chemicals present in the regular cigarette. So you may smoke it just for fun but not frequently, otherwise there is a great fear and risk for nicotine addiction as the regular cigarette.
