Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Do you feel dizzy when sitting/laying down or upon rising to a standing position from a sitting/supine (lying on your back) position? Or is it not related? Do you feel dizzy yourself or do you get the impression that the room is spinning? Is there associated visual problems (blurring of vision), headache, or noise in the ears (what we call tinnitus)? Is the dizziness accompanied by vomiting? And when you say a lot of weight loss, how much weight have you lost and over how much time? Was it intentional planned weight loss (you're following a diet) or it happened unintentionally?
The only thing I could think causes dizziness and "improves on antibiotics" as you said could be an inner ear inflammation/infection (labyrinthitis- the labyrinth is a part of the inner ear crucial for maintaining body positional equilibrium).
