My son is 5 months old now and he still can't carry his body on his legs. Should I be worried or is it normal?

Dr. Salim Saab Otolaryngology (ENT)
At 5 months, the baby is not able to carry his body on his legs so it is normal.

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Your son must be 8 months old now. He should be doing the following within the next month:
Stands, holding on
Can get into sitting position
Sits without support
Pulls to stand
Crawls

If by the age of 10 months he still hasn't done the below, notify his pediatrician:
Doesn’t bear weight on legs with support
Doesn’t sit with help
Doesn’t babble (“mama”, “baba”, “dada”)
Doesn’t play any games involving back-and-forth play
Doesn’t respond to own name
Doesn’t seem to recognize familiar people
Doesn’t look where you point
Doesn’t transfer toys from one hand to the other
