Does low sleeping patterns (3-4 hours per night max) can be a reason? or sleeping does not relates to blood pressure, because i am noticing when i sleep more my blood pressure is below around 13/7

Dr. Bassem Tanios Nephrology
Yes, actually lack of sleep can lead to increase in sympathetic nervous system activation ( increasing adrenaline levels in the body) which will cause high blood pressure. Maintaining a healthy sleeping pattern is essential, as sleep deprivation may be linked with higher risk of developing Hypertension, or in people who have hypertension, in worsening blood pressure control, Furthermore some people have hypertension secondary to a disorder we call sleep apnea syndrome, which is essentially lack of good sleep at night, and their blood pressure normalizes once this sleeping disorder is treated.
