Can overdosing on aspirin, even if it occurred several months ago, lead to memory loss in the present day?
Jul 28, 2015

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Memory impairment few months after ingestion of an overdose of Aspirin (salicylate) is highly unlikely. The more plausible explanation is that of underlying depression: the aspirin overdose was most probably a suicidal attempt, and depressive disorders are known to be associated with decreased memory functions.
