I have been a smoker since high school. I am 24 years old now and I have asthma. How likely am I to have lung cancer and when?

Dr. Fadi Abbas Oncology & Hematology
it is a matter of how many cigarettes per day , and for how many years . the risk factor is multiplied by 23 times after 10 years of smoking one packet per day, comparing to non smokers. Smoking diminishes life expectancy by 10 years (cardiovascular, vascular, cancer, etc) comparing to the general non smoker population. In your case, it can increase the risk of sterility (not having babies), and it can increase the risk of asthma crisis.
